Our Roots

Based in the heart of Lanka City, Hojai (Assam), this tool was born out of a real-world necessity. Being an e-commerce seller myself, I experienced firsthand the struggle of calculating state-wise and HSN-wise data from complex Meesho, Flipkart, and Amazon reports every single month.

What used to take days of manual Excel work — filtering thousands of rows, subtracting returns, grouping by state and HSN code — inspired me to build something better.

I am Sanathoiba Singha, an entrepreneur, active e-commerce seller, and the sole founder and developer of gstr1calculator.in.

PGDCA (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications) — formal training in data applications and software systems

💼 Practical Experience

Active seller on Amazon, Flipkart, and Meesho — I have personally filed GSTR-1 returns and understand the exact pain points
Hands-on experience with Tally Prime for accounting and business operations
Background in retail and business operations — this is where I saw firsthand how small sellers struggle with GST compliance
File ITR-4 (business income) — I am an active, compliant taxpayer and business owner

💻 Technical Background

My interest in web development started years ago — I built my first websites on WordPress before moving to fully custom-coded solutions. Today, gstr1calculator.in is a custom-built platform where every calculation, every state-wise summary, and every HSN grouping is logic I designed based on real GST filing experience. I tested every output hundreds of times against manual calculations before making it live.
